(2009.10.27 20:17:54) http://www.swinglesingers.com/news/20091027/new-site-updates-today.html Greetings all, September and October seem to have come and gone, and nothing to show for it here! Rest assured we've been extremely busy, and now with a month at home it's time to get caught up and let you know what's been happening. September found us in Bucharest for the first time, performing Berio's "Sinfonia" and an a cappella show as well. From there it was off to Germany for shows in Schweinfurt and Wunstorf. In October, we headlined with the Real Group and The Manhattan Transfer at the fabulous Vocal Jazz Summit in Mainz. Check the gallery for lots of photos from these shows! In the last few weeks we've been working close to home: a recording session for an upcoming BBC kids' show called "Zingzillas" (stay tuned for more on that), and an appearance on BBC Radio 2's "Good Morning Sunday" with Aled Jones (read Richard's blog about it in the Backstage Area). And to finish off, two UK concerts to launch the new album including the official London gala event at Cadogan Hall. Photos (and video) from the show will be posted as soon as we have them! As an unexpected bit of icing on the cake, this past Sunday Aled Jones gave us a wonderful plug for the upcoming London A Cappella Festival in January.
