a fond farewell
After 10 years and over 600 concerts with The Swingle Singers, Richard Eteson (Willy) has decided to leave the group. He writes:
"This has been the best job in the world for me doing the things that I love and sharing amazing experiences with wonderful people. I can't believe 10 years has gone so quickly, but I am ready for the next challenge in my life and feel the time is right to pass on the microphone to the next tenor Swingle Singer. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that I have sung with over the years, the people I have worked with in so many different countries, and to thank the fans for their continued support in everything we have done and everywhere we've been. Although it is difficult to step back in such exciting times I wish the group well in the lead up to its 50th Anniversary in 2013 and into the future beyond."
Please join us in wishing Richard every success in the next stage of his life! He will continue to perform with the group until October, so you can also pass along your well-wishes in person at an upcoming show near you.
